‘Abortion Dress’ is a new body of work exploring my experience of Abortion in the Spring of 2023.
Through the making of ‘Abortion Dresses’ I aim to wear the words of an often shamed and hidden experience. This concept of ‘body writing’ is something I have researched throughout my practice in the creation of ‘Fuck Dresses’ that come to life as a kind of performative wearing of words.
‘Abortion Dress’ as a project will fuse together performance documentation, the dresses themselves as artworks and a new video work to be exhibited at BUS Projects Screen in 2024.
